Approach

Drawn for you, not picked off a wall.

Every piece starts as a conversation about what it means and where it's going. Placement, flow with the body, how it will age — all decided before the stencil goes on.

Black and grey, lettering, portrait and large-scale work. Send a reference and Shaun will tell you honestly whether it's a piece he's the right artist for.

The Procedure

How a piece gets made.

Step 01

Consultation and concept

Text through your idea, any references, rough size and where on the body it's going.

Shaun will come back with whether it works at that size, what it'll cost and how long to book out.

Step 02

Design and stencil

The design is drawn to your placement, then stencilled on so you can see it on your body before any ink.

Nothing starts until the placement is right — adjustments at this stage are free, afterwards they aren't.

Step 03

The session

Larger pieces are split across sittings so both the skin and you get a break.

Breaks whenever you need them. Bring water and eat beforehand — it makes a real difference to how you sit.

Step 04

Healing and aftercare

Keep it clean, keep it moisturised, keep it out of the sun. No soaking, no picking at scabs.

Full written aftercare goes home with you, and Shaun is reachable if anything looks off.
